Teething

Kill a mole, cut off one of its feet, tie a string around the foot and tie the other end around the baby’s neck. Teeth will pop through the gums with little pain.

Thrash on baby

To cure thrash on a baby have a person who has never seen their Father blow into the baby’s mouth.

Bed Wetting

To stop bed wetting, kill and skin a big barn rat as you would a squirrel. Cut it up, flour and fry it as you would chicken and feed it to the individual. This will stop bed wetting

Sugar Cure Remedy (for elderly)

A pick me up for the elderly:

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

1 egg

a dash of salt

1 tablespoon brandy

Separate the egg; beat the yolk until a thick lemon color, add sugar and brandy and beat again. Then beat the white if the egg until stiff. Fold in the yellow mixture into the white. It will be so thick you can eat it with a spoon. You cna add one cup of milk with a little more sugar if desired. Eat the entire thing once a day.

Fever

The juice from boiled willow bark, given by tablespoonfuls, will lower a fever.

Insect bite/sting

Take the pain out of an insect bite or sting by holding a hot, wet plantain leaf on it.

To treat a fever or inflammation, use violet leaves or chickweed.

A tea of sage can be used to wipe down the body when a  fever occurs. This will help lower the fever.

Colds, Coughs and Chest Congestion

For chest colds, fry a possum. Take the grease and cover the entire chest with it.

Eczema

Eczema can be relieved if you take a small bottle of olive oil and chop into it a nice large piece of chickweed. Cap it tightly and use this whenever a flare-up of eczema occurs. Garlic cloves in olive oil (with or without the chickweed) works well also.
