Dice a fresh peach into 1 cup vinegar and let it set overnight. Mash the peach and apply this healing balm to the scalp to restore thinning hair.
A scalp treated with the juice of a raw onion will help promote hair growth
To give brown hair a rich sheen, soak 3 black walnut husks in a bottle of alcohol for 2 weeks. Use a soft flannel cloth and dab the mixture onto your hair for a beautiful shine.
Make a tonic to shine the hair with 1 quart of water and 1 cup of stinging nettles. Boil for 3 minutes and strain through a cloth. Rinse hair in tonic for shiney hair.
Beat together 3 fresh eggs, 1 tablespoon castor oil and 1/4 cup alcohol. Work into dry hair and cover with a warm wet towel for 20 minutes. Rinse with rainwater and towel dry in the sun.
Boil a big handful of birch leaves in a quart of water. Strain and use to rinse the hair for soft, shiney hair. Birch sap mixed in water will also work.
Yucca:
The best part of the Yucca to use medicinally is the root. Pound the root into a mild soap. This is good to cleanse cuts, scrapes, etc or for washing your hair or bathing. Make a poultice of the soapy root for skin rashes, boils and poison ivy.
